You should now have a blank screen or "no or bad signal"
Now its all setup and ready to align, place your dish and tripod
where there is clear line of site to the North East direction.
Run your 20metre cable to the dish.
You will need to loosen the bolts on the side of the bracket,
then set the scale to the correct elevation.
This dish is a offset dish, therefore everything mark including "0"
is "10 degrees. Example: To set the dish to 30degrees, the point of
the bracket should be aligned with the second mark after "0".
Once this is done tigten the bolts.
Plug your satellite finder inline next to your satellite dish.
Plug the "REC" to receiver and "LNB" to dish.
Turn the dial till the needle sits on"5" and emits a high pitch squeel.
Use your compass to work out the general direction of where to
point the dish. Refer to the diagrams provided in the written
instructions or select your location and satellite below from the
provided dishpointer application.
The most popular satellite Optus C1 from Perth is 56* North/East
and 33* elevation.
Make sure you have clear line of site to the sky and your sat finder
in your hand and the needle reads "5".
Move your dish to the "West" , now move your satellite dish
to the North East direction, you should get a spike.
Once you have a spike on the needle between 7-10 tighten the
bolts on your dish. If the needle go's up to ten , wind it back to "7"
and keep moving your dish trying to find the "maximum" signal
that we can achieve.
You should now see the Optus Aurora or Selectv tuning station,
this station displays notifications, if you can see this screen
everything is working correctly and you can move on to STEP 10.
If you still have no picture, you have either locked on to the wrong
satellite or your signal is to weak. Please repeat "STEP7" until you
see the tuning station.
Remove the satellite finder from the dish and plug your long cable straight to the LNB/DISH.
If you are unable to receive the tuning station still after repating STEP7 please call our technical line.
